1. Ducon has received a turnkey contract to supply and install a limestone flue gas desulfurization system on 2x507 MW coal fired thermal power plant in Udupi, India. Ducon's Indian unit will carryout the turnkey project that includes complete limestone feed and waste gypsum handling system. Ducon wet scrubbing System includes the proprietary Ventri-Rod section that provides higher sulfur dioxide removal efficiency at lower pressure drop and with lower liquid to gas ratios
2. Ducon has received a
turnkey order for design, manufacture, supply and install a Wet SO2 Scrubber system on a wood
and oil-fired boiler from a major paper mill located in New Brunswick,
Canada. The Ducon’s advanced Scrubber incorporates an open spray design,
which will be assembled on site and will be installed after an existing
precipitator. The Ducon Scrubber will remove over 90% of the incoming sulfur
dioxide in the flue gas to
comply with the requirements of the Minister of Environment in Canada.

MIP Ducon has received an order to supply
its Laser Opacity monitor to St. Gobain Container Co.’s Glass Furnace
plant. MIP Ducon's Laser opacity
monitor LM3086 EPA3 is far more advanced than a conventional LED based
monitor, in terms of reliability, accuracy and stability achieved through
Laser technology and Fiber optic coupling between Transmitter and Receiver.
MIP Ducon has supplied and installed several Laser opacity monitors to Saint
Gobain Containers for their oxy fuel fired glass furnaces opacity compliance
requirement (COMS), and reporting to local state regulatory authorities to
comply with EPA 40 CFR 60 Appx B, new PS-1 norms.
